DAS VILLAIN Whatever Justin Broadrick puts out with his quadrillion music projects (Note: Quadrillion is an actual number; look it up...LOL!), I'm down to listening! Of all Justin's projects, Jesu in my Top 10 because of the shoegazing meets contemporary electronic music. A release of previous cuts on splits and unreleased tracks it pushed the boundaries between dream pop, noise pop, post metal, angular techno, and blissful lo-fi distortions. Favorite track: The Stars That Hang Above You (2024 Remaster).

corbin.j Reminds me a lot of the Why Are We Not Perfect EP and even Pale Sketcher to an extent. Always up for hearing some new Jesu. Favorite track: Didn't Want To Wake Up.

Kyle A masterpiece from a true artist, who should be respected and heard by all who claim to really love music. I've followed jesu since the first release and oh, what a treasure chest of memories that share DNA with your songs, within my skull.

I always had this thing in my head about Justin. He has a habit of being absolutely stealthy about his new releases... as if the release was
"a happy mob hit."

'Hard To Reach' and 'The Stars That Hang Above You' were originally released in 2008/09, as half of a split with ENVY (Japan) on Hydra Head, Conspiracy Recs and Daymare Recs JP, on both CD and Vinyl.
Both tracks are now presented here re-mastered, and coupled with two previously unreleased tracks, that were considered to be included if the original release had been a stand alone Jesu EP as opposed to a split.
An extra bonus is the 'Hard To Reach (Alternative Version)', which was initiated around 2012 but never completed, It was finished and mixed in 2023.

Dur de définir qu'elle est le meilleur album de GODFLESH, en fait ils ont tous leur singularité. Je trouve que sur cet album GODFLESH a atteint une sorte de perfection à leur musique, à la fois froide, brutale et industrielle mais aussi envoûtante et mentale. Cet album est un condensé du meilleur de GODFLESH, c'est pour moi l'album de la consécration. Je vais mettre "BE GOD" en titre préféré pour sa puissance, lourde et complètement mystique mais tous les titres sont excellents. gaston_macoute
