I just can't be it
Leave me behind
I don't want to go with you
unless they go
but they won't
they're far too inwards to
and curse them
the situation's out of hand
but they know
there's no answer
I can't do what they all want you to do.
So now
we'll lose
everything we start to keep
for our lives
their hands
I don't see how they will change
for you
And your goodwill
they take what they can
for themselves
on its belief
and bid them a last farewell and
we'll show them
and we show them
'A World Lit Only By Fire' is an angry and gloomy motherfucker. From the start, you're being battered with pummeling, gritty low end, piercing dissonance and industrial cold. It paints a dystopian picture in my mind - of bulldozers slowly crawling through a wasteland and people hiding in sheer panic, hungry and desperate for a glimpse of hope. But in 'A World Lit Only By Fire', there is no such thing. Simon Sludge
Godflesh are the masters of all that is industrial metal and they are so damn great at it!! Justin K Broadrick is an absolute genius, a freaking legend. Darknight
Massive fan of all of JB's work from his very early Napalm Death days right through to his current work with Hospital Productions. This EP is one of his best Pale Sketcher releases & is pretty much on loop in my car & my house these days. All good, no filler, but the standout pieces are Air Tight and Roads Less Travelled. stevedt

All I can really say is THANK YOU Dylan & co. for bringing new, amazing, dense, deep and interesting music into my life.I first heard about Earth through listening to Mark Lanegan 's book "Sing Backwards and Weep",the mention from Mark and also learning of he and Dylan's closely honed friendship and brotherhood of many years peaked my interest and I knew eventually I'd be embarking on this journey of interdimensional sound."Primitive and Deadly" is a masterpiece!!!!! monobri73
